I want to thank all that served before, and all that will protect our country in the future....

Especially those that gave their lives. My hero- Marine Lance Cpl. Scott E. Dougherty
Died July 6, 2004 serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom

My nephew, Scott Dougherty, 20 of Bradenton, Fl. was killed July 6,2004, when his Humvee struck a tank mine in Anbar province, Iraq. His Humvee ran over a tank mine, flipped over a ravine and exploded. He was a proud Marine in the 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

He was fun loving kid with a great sense of humor. He always knew how to make everybody smile. He wasn’t a big guy but he made up for with physical training & a great attitude. He joined ROTC in high school and enlisted in the Marines in 2002 after graduating.

NICE POEM....

The families dog was bought for a guard,    Chained to a post in a chilly back yard,    Housed in a shed that was airless and dark,    And every few weeks had a run in the park.    When boredom set in with no fun and no work,    One day it broke loose and went quietly beserk.    Pa couldn't fathom just why it went wild,    As it flattened his wife and then bit his child.    The police were called in to sort out the mess,    And the whole sorry tale was released to the press,    The Rescue Society was really annoyed,    So, the dog was rehomed -- and the owners destroyed.

So I asked my friends Dan and Shelly M. who have been rescuing dogs for ages. They are still searching.

I give them the biggest props ever. They are self-less and have even spen…

Does Paparazzi State Have a Debate Team?byJames JimmyDoom Graham on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 2:11pmI've had real guns pulled on me. I once had real police officers pull real guns on me during a movie shoot. (Submit those permits, people!). But I've never gone in my pocket and handed someone a bullet so that a guy with a gun could shoot me.I read a quote today commenting on the Michigan Film Tax Incentive. One can only assume the person thought he was making an insightful statement expressing his opposition to the program once unanimously approved by state lawmakers." A good economy is better than a paparazzi state".

The proponents of keeping the tax credits in place have been arguing that not only are jobs created for Michigan res…
